It is nearly All Hallows Eve. And as such, 3rd Degree Byrne is pulling out all the stops to give you a Halloween Special! Well actually, we’re just covering stories that might, I say, might, have a tie to Halloween. Are they scary? Not really, but hey when was the last time a comic book scared you beyond the price point?
Join John Hijatt, Kirk Greenfield, Tim Elliott and Brian Hughes as they cover two very early stories in the career of John Byrne.
First is a short story from the Nightmare Magazine #20 of 1974. It is a two pager titled “The Castle”. This is probably Byrne’s first paid work in the industry.
The Second story comes from Giant-Size Dracula #5, and it is Byrne’s first work at Marvel Comics. And while it is in a Dracula book, Dracula himself is not in the story.
Lastly as the episode was a bit short, Brian Hughes and busy father David Thompson look over some Facebook Byrne Victims memories about the John Byrne’s Series: “The Man of Steel”.
