He had a passion for the comic industry that served him for over 60 years. 3rd<\/sup> Degree Byrne discusses the former editor in chief at Marvel and boy writer. How we became aware of his work and how he helped reshape the industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cShooter came along just when Marvel needed him\u00a0\u2013 but he stayed too long. Having fixed just about everything that was wrong, he could not stop “fixing”. Around the time I left to do Superman, I said that I thought Shooter and Dick Giordano should trade jobs\u00a0\u2013 it was DC that needed fixing then\u00a0\u2013 and do so about every 5 years or so. Shooter had put Marvel into a place where all that was needed was a kindly father figure at the helm\u00a0\u2013 and that was not Shooter!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
