In episode 81 of the Man of Screen Podcast, Mike Zummo finishes off the first half of season 2 with a look at four more episodes of “The New Adventures of Superman” and two more episodes of “The Adventures of Superboy”, both by Filmation.
First, people of Metropolis are going to learn the dangers of picking up a hat off the street and putting it on as they never know when it will contain “The Wisp of Wickedness”. Then Superboy will go on safari and find “The Chameleon Creature”. Then a meteor will bring a strange creature to Earth from Krypton. You wont want to miss what happens when “Superman Meets His Match”.
Secondly, aliens will come to Earth. You know, something different and a Niagara Falls rocket base will suffer the “Night of the Octopod”. Then Superboy will make a serious blunder in “The Great Space Race” before Lois and Superman take a trip to another planet aboard “Brainiacs Bubbles”.
Next time: The second half of Season 2 will begin with “The War of the Bee Batallion”, “The Toymans Super Toy”, “The Cage of Glass” and “The Atomic Superman”. Also the Superboy episodes, “Finger of Doom” and “Krypto, The K-9 Detective”.
