The Man of Screen Podcast Episode 32 – Superman in Exile/A Ghost for Scotland Yard

In episode 32 of the Man of Screen podcast, Mike Zummo will welcome back Bob Fisher to look at two solid episodes of the The Adventures of Superman.

First, Superman will become radioactive after he stops a nuclear reactor from going critical. And in a completely unrelated note, a flamboyant PR man is trying to get some publicity for the arrival of his countrys crown jewels in Metropolis. But does he have sinister motives?

How will Superman shake off the radiation that is causing him to glow in the dark? And how many flowers must he kill before he thinks to turn off the light.

So come with us and visit an old familiar cabin in “Superman in Exile.”

Then its time for a ghost story in an episode that aired around Halloween. Brockhurst the magician is telling people he hates he will return to kill them after he has been dead five years.

Come meet Sir Arthur, Rocker, who wears a seriously bad-looking moustache, and Inspector Farrington, who sets off a debate between Bob and Mike over a very important question. Is Farrington a “dumbass.”

So, is it a real threat, or is it just “A Ghost for Scotland Yard”?
