The Man of Screen Podcast Episode 139 – Superfriends: The Legendary Super Powers Show: The Bride of Darkseid/The Wrath of Brainiac/Reflections in Crime.

In episode 139 of the Man of Screen Podcast, Mike Zummo marches into a new era of Superfriends coverage as he leaves behind the seven-minute short episodes and heads into Season 8, best known as “The Legendary Super Powers Show”.

And its going to bring along some introductions as this season were going to meet new heroes and villains and get new takes on old villains in an overall more comic-booky fashion.

The first weeks episode is a two-parter covered as one episode. Were going to meet a new ally, Firestorm, and were going to meet three new key villains hailing from Jack Kirbys Fourth World.

Yep, were going to meet Darkseid, Desaad and Kalibak, and the Lord of Apokolips has marriage on his mind in “The Bride of Darkseid”.

Then were going to have a team-up. No, not a superhero team-up, were going to have a villainous team-up, as Darkseid and Brainiac are going to team-up, but will they get along? How will the plan unravel?

Who will face “The Wrath of Brainiac?”

And were going to finish things off with some time to reflect. In mirrors. With the Mirror Master as Superman gets himself trapped in the mirror dimension.

So, he must search for a way to communicate without becoming a Peeping Superman.

But we will have to face “Reflections in Crime”.
