In episode 104 of the Man of Screen podcast, Mike Zummo takes a look at two more full episodes of the All-New Super Friends Hour.
This time around, its only a look at the main stories as Superman does not appear in any of the ancillary stories.
But Superman does have a key role in the first story. First, find what happens when a giant robot shaped like a huge orange starts harassing Earth people and cities.
Who sent it? And why is Superman traveling offworld to solve the problem and what happens to Superman to remind him of a freshly bought Christmas tree?
And are the aliens as large as they appear? Why have they started: “Exploration Earth”?
Then a lion man has an offer to make. He wants to split the Earth and sell the pieces to a few other alien races, one of which looks somewhat familiar.
Why is this episode not a great showing for Superman? What has happened? How will the Super Friends fare against “The Lionmen”
