IT’S TIME FOR TODD MCFARLANE! YAY!!!
This time around, I take a look at G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #60, the issue that was commanding a pretty good price on the back issue market in the early 1990s because of the art by (then) future Spider-Man artist and Image co-founder Todd McFarlane! I review the comic and dig a little into its backstory (courtesy of Comic Book Legends Revealed) as well as share memories of a sleepover party from 1987 that has something to do with comics and G.I. Joe.

A dear friend once said to me: “It’s a lot of fun when everyone’s a dork of some sort or another.” As I look back on my life as a dork, I realize that not only have I geeked out, but not in the right way. My taste, you see, isn’t great. But instead of hiding from that, I’ve decided to embrace it. Part commentary, part memoir, this is an exploration of my weird love for the obscure and for those things that sorta suck.
