It’s time to jump into the transmatter cube, y’all because another JLA/JSA crossover is upon us!

That’s right, faithful Talesers, Scott and Mike are back again with the first part of a two part look at the 1983 Justice League/Justice Society get together. It didn’t start out as a two-parter. In fact the guys really wanted to get the whole thing done in one so they could get back to covering All-Star Squadron but at the last minute Mike’s work texted and said he had to be in two hours early proving they care nothing for you and your entertainment.

Oh well. Life goes on. At least Justice League of America #219 was freaking awesome.

Anyway, this time out the duel teams of Justice are attacked by the pink Thunderbolt of Johnny Thunder and it confuses the hell out of all of them because the Thunderbolt is a good guy, right? Anyway, the JLA is taken out early leaving the JSA to figure out what the hell is going on. Mixed in with all of that you get a really cool homage to the cover of Flash #123, Black Canary telling an off color joke, Starman trying to put the moves on Canary and we get yet another explanation of how the multiverse works.

Oh, and Chuck Patton does the art and HOT DAMN IS IT AWESOME!

Next time: Justice League of America #220 and the shocking secret of Black Canary!
