Just One of the Guys Episode #127

It’s a Firestorm Fan Friday here on Just One of the Guys! Except, I haven’t wrangled The Irredeemable Shag to guest on the show (negotiations are in progress about that). But I’ve got the next best thing, as I’m covering a classic Firestorm villain in the latest issue of Green Lantern (No, it’s not Slipknot). Yes, in issue 127, Kyle goes up against not only a Firestorm wannabe in Effigy, but a great Firestorm villain in Killer Frost! And with Jay Faerber on the writing chores, the story and characters work extremely well together.

And in our second book, I’m covering the third Green Lantern 80 Page Giant, which unlike the last issue was filled with team up stories, and unlike the first one which was filled with crap, this one tells a full length story dealing with Kyle meeting up with the Green Lantern who tried to take down Darkseid. How well do you think that went? I’ll give you a hint…the Overlord of Apokolips in yellow spandex. But with that knowledge about the story, is it a flop like the first book or a triumph like the second? You’ll have to listen to find out.
