I always loved Saturday morning cartoons. I got up early Saturday mornings, ate my bowl of Froot Loops and watched every show I could, starting at 7 am all the way until Noon when my Dad would start watching old Rifleman Reruns.
I saw Bugs Bunny/Road Runner, JabberJaw and Honk Kong Phooey. The Jetsons, Tarzan, Thundarr the Barbarian and many, many more.
One cartoon I never saw though was “Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch” and seriously, I thought I had seen them all.
Well it just so happened that Charlton Comics put out a Comic for “Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch” and it also happened that the great John Byrne would draw a couple of them.
So, 3rd Degree Byrne is going to cover this little gem of a book from 1975 in this latest episode.
But Wait. . . Theres more!!!!
3rd Degree Byrne is joined this week by none other than the Godfather of the Two True Freaks Network, Scott Gardner.
Tim Elliott and Brian Hughes spend so much time gabbing with Scott that the show visits a great many topics, like Star Trek, NASA Vintage Comic Book ads, The Titanic, Transformers, X-Men, Chris Honeywell, Longbox diving for back issues, Meerschaum Pipes, the fate of The Crisis on Infinite Earths podcast, Superman and Indiana Jones. We keep coming back to John Byrne over and over too.
So do like Robert Plant and grab a tall cool one to drink while you listen to 3rd Degree Byrne and Scott Gardner as they talk about “Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch” and so much more!!!
3rd Degree Byrne is proud to be part of the TwoTrueFreaks Internet Radio Network http://twotruefreaks.
