"Comedy is when you fall down an open sewer and die...Tragedy is when I cut my finger" Or possibly tragedy is when you try do make a character as lame as Grayven do comedy on the latest episode of Just One the Guys. Today on the show, we take a look as Green Lantern #143, a part of the Joker's Last Laugh crossover, where the clown prince of crime was given a diagnosis of terminal brain cancer and decided to end his life with a bang by "Jokerizing" all the inmates at "The Slab" and releasing them into the world. This included Grayven, who now fancies himself a stand-up comedian. Not surprisingly, he's as bad at that as he being a villain, as Green Lantern Kyle Rayner is able to take him out pretty easily. Probably because some kind of major change has happened with Kyle...something wonderful.

And following that up, we're also covering the prestige format book, Green Lantern: Fear Itself. This one chronicles a mysterious alien being that threatens the world throughout the Golden, Silver and Modern ages, causing the three generations of Green Lanterns to have to overcome great fear to defeat it. It's a neat story written by Ron Marz and painted by Brad Parker, and I'm glad I get to cover it as it is a nice palate cleanser after having to deal with Grayven once again. So unless you want to hear more of the bastard son of Darkseid's comedy, I suggest you grab your mp3 player of choice, download the show, and start to listening!

More random DOCTOR WHO goodness is ready for your listening pleasure as PROFESSOR ALAN MIDDLETON and his daughter EMILY MIDDLETON join host SHAWN ENGEL for a look at the much maligned Sylvester McCoy series, "BATTLEFIELD". This time out the Doctor and Ace get to blow up ancient ruins, immerge from lakes, and face off against one of the hammiest knights ever to grace the television airwaves. Add to that Jean Marsh channeling Bavmorda from "Willow" and not one, BUT TWO Brigadiers, and you've got one heck of a fun series, that has perhaps one of the best makeup effects in the entire run. Seriously, the Destroyer was genius! So what are you waiting for? Download the show and get ready for fun on this latest episode of Who True Freaks!

Real life intrudes at Hey Kids Towers, forcing Andrew and Micheal to read emails instead of comics. That said, there's still some fun to be had, largely at the expense of Croaky McCroakenstein who decides to host the show with Micheal this week, along with numerous tangential discussions, some of them even about comics!

In a BRAND NEW episode of Listen to the Prophets, Paul, Andy and Shawn continue their trek (Get it? Because this is...never mind, I'll stop now) through the first season of Deep Space Nine with the episode THE PASSENGER. Sadly, Iggy Pop is nowhere to be seen (but Siouxsie and the Banshees make an appearance as Shawn failed to get a reference once again). This one deals with a murder mystery dealing with a criminal who just won't die and might have transferred his BRAIN into a member of the DS9 Crew. Once again, the show apes another drama as we get a crime story episode this time out. Plus we read feedback from you wonderful listeners and chat about tangentially related Star Trek news. What more could you want in a podcast? So get ready to travel to the far reaches of the galaxy and take some time...to LISTEN TO THE PROPHETS.

This month Shawn Engel, Dr. Bill Robinson and Chris Honeywell tackle issue number 58 (in a Christmas-like fashion) of Robert Kirkman's THE WALKING DEAD! This issue has Rick, Abraham and Coral (that's right, that's what we're calling him from now on) have a Jaws-like scar comparing scene, except this time the scars are INSIDE. Also - Dr. Bill has a FISHY TALE - Shawn's kids RANSACK THE HOUSE - The UK zombie show IN THE FLESH is discussed. Oh, and HONEY BOO BOO.

In this latest ball-assassinating episode, Magnus is rejoined by his loyal podcasting vassal Michael Bailey to talk, talk and talk some more about the director's cut of Oliver Stone's 1991 opus JFK. 3.5 hours of commentary, conspiracy skepticism and smoke breaks.

The click-bait vulnerable might've preferred "Magnus did *WHAT* halfway through the commentary?!!?" but it's hard to lose enough brain cells to invent such cheap marketing tactics.

Because of the length of this episode (has it been mentioned yet that it's 3.5 hours long?), there's no time for adulation from the unwashed miscreants. Listener feedback has been suspended this week.

Even so, paying tribute to His Excellency's grandeur is always encouraged so the lowmen and commoners listening who have ideas for a topic should feel free to e-mail their beloved emperor at excellency@trentusmagnus.com and he might consider thinking about the possibility of potentially discussing whatever you have in mind some day. And that's a promise!

In an act of barely comprehensible charity, Magnus permits you lowly miscreants to kiss his ring regarding this or any other episode. Thus, notes of homage may be sent to excellency@trentusmagnus.com for DiManzocorp interns to review.

Ai ai ai ai ai! In what is fast becoming a masochistically annual tradition, it's another Earth Destruction Directive Gaiden Christmas Special! And if you thought last year's show was "magical," you ain't seen nothing yet, because this time it's "Alpha's Magical Christmas!" Get a roaring fire going in the fireplace, get cozy with a blanket on the couch, and let the cheeseiness wash over you like a flood of holiday schmaltz. Hard to believe, but it is, once again, a bonafide Christmas Miracle! ("Christmas Miracle" and all related concepts are copyright and trademark DiMonzo Corp or Milan, Italy, all rights reserved.)
