In this first part of School Anthem, Magnus casts a borderline nostalgic eye on freshman year of high school as filtered through the musical sensibilities of the Smashing Pumpkins and explains how "1979" became that year's anthem.

In this week's ball-possessing episode, Magnus resumes the Smallville retrospective, raising the curtain on season 06; Smallville's shippiest season.

There's a lot of business that needs to be worked through, tbh. A lot of visible and invisible pieces were moved around the board for the sixth season and, man, it really shows in the final product, doesn't it?

There's also the green elephant in the room that needs to be addressed. But fear not, His Excellency has an angle on Smallville's Green Arrow that you've never heard before! All will be well or something.

So what are you waiting for? Start listening right now before Green Arrow gives you the shaft or something.

Due to the avalanche of awesomeness, there's just no time for listener feedback this week. But Magnus has slowly been getting caught up lately. There's been some feedback recently and there's more coming soon! So don't be left out! You too can offer your feeble effort at tribute whenever you want! Yes indeed, you humble serfs are always welcome to kiss your benevolent leader's ring. Corrupt DiManzocorp interns are ready, willing, able and eager to accept your bribe to present your meager missives to your wise emperor. The email address to use is trentusmagnus@gmail.com as the other seems to be having technical problems.

In an another sublime act of truly ball-shriveling magnanimity, your emperor permits you lowly rabble to suggest topics for a future episode. Thus, requests may be sent to trentusmagnus@gmail.com for the aforementioned corrupt DiManzocorp interns (who probably lack souls) to review, whereupon your leader might consider thinking about the possibility of potentially discussing whatever you have in mind some day. And that's a promise!

In episode 85 of the Man of Screen podcast, Mike Zummo begins the final stretch of his voyage through Filmations Superman/Superboy cartoons with the beginning of Season 3.

Hear about the format change and the sudden change in the show from all one-part Superman stories to two-parters. Are the stories better? Do they benefit from the additional time or is it just Silver Age silliness?

Listen and find out as Superman comes up against “Luthors Lethal Laser” and then Krypto will get hit by a Kryptonite meteor that will have Superboy saying, “Forget Me Not, Superdog”.

Then Jimmy Olsen and Superman will learn “Can a Luthor Change His Spots” in a story written by a DC comics staple. Who is it? You didnt think I would reveal it here, did you? And then the Boy of Steel will find himself upstaged when “Superboy Meets Mighty Lad”.

Next time: Mike will cover the next two Superman stories, “Team of Terror” and “Rain of Iron” and the next two Superboy episodes, “King Superboy” and “Double Trouble”.

The last recap before the mid-season finale show and our survivors discuss a mullet-centric episode that shows us the trials and communication tribulations of Eugene. The Saviors are facing a shit and potato casserole as Eugene finally has to choose a side and decide to out Dwight as the rat. Meanwhile, back at the Trash Heap, Rick is trying to avoid becoming an “After” for Jadis sculpture garden. Also Michonne, Rosita, Daryl and his other brother Daryl (Tara) keep talking about and finally, maybe decide to execute their plan before the last episode of the year. Check our work on our dead pool predictions for the mid-season finale and stay after the talking for some Fraggle memories on your Fear the Walking Deadcast.

Were almost to the mid-season finale and almost one whole day of show time has passed in six episodes! Our regular band of survivors, and maybe some evil clowns and Hitchcockian monsters gather to talk about more “All Out War”. Rick is off to the trash heap on a quest, Daryl and Tara are getting ready to go rogue and Maggie has some big decisions to make at the Hilltop. Jesus feeds the multitudes, Ezekiel hides and pouts and Carl makes a new friend. The Fat Lady sings and Scott gets the heebie jeebies on this weeks Fear the Walking Deadcast.

Paul & Bill take a look at the Justice League in the first part of this SCORE episode as they take a look at two Bronze age issues. Scott was unavoidably detained and couldn't make this one, but it's still fun though. Give it a listen.
