In this latest ball-shivving episode, Magnus kicks off the longwaited Superman Megaseries in observance of a certain Last Son of Krypton's 76th anniversary. In this inaugural entry in the megaseries, the focus falls on "The Stranger Who Stalks Smallville" from Superboy v1 #150 cover dated September 1968.

Also, we once again dip into listener feedback. His Excellency's loyal subjects try their pitiful best to render proper homage but their words fail to do justice to his awesomeness. But Magnus forgives them.

As for the rest of you lowly peons, do you have a suggestion for a topic? Feel free to e-mail me at trentusmagnus@gmail.com and I might consider thinking about the possibility of potentially discussing whatever you have in mind some day. And that's a promise!

All right, so here goes.  This is truly an assistant editor's masterpiece if ever there was one.  I (Scott) was out of town last week and the guys decided to fly without me.  Yes, the episode is late, because, well, it's assistant editor's month.  And no, I have not heard it at all.  I am uploading is sight unseen, er, unheard. God help us all...

Scott and Chris have taken the month off, so they will not be in this episode of Comics Monthly Monday.  Michael Bailey is, though.  Apparently he wasn't allowed to take the month off because of all the "sick time" he has taken lately.  Mike isn't alone, though.  Joining him are Paul Spataro and Gene Hendricks.  They kick things off by talking about all the comic book goodness they have been reading lately.  The X-Men are discussed as is the Marvel Star Wars series and Mike even recommends two New 52 stories despite having recently bad mouthed that particular line of comics.  After that it's time for the FREAKY FIVE where Mike, Gene and Paul talk about the comics they read while on...well, vacation.  Because this is a vacation themed episode.

In another all-new episode of campy podcasting greatness, if the yardstick by which you measure greatness is rather small, Andrew Leyland is back with his rundown of his Top 10 all-time favourite episodes of STAR TREK! Proper Trek, not any of the spin-offs or sequels.  Did your faves make the cut? Or is Andrew completely out to lunch? Live from the Chinese Restaurant of Cosmic Awareness, it's the PALACE OF GLITTERING DELIGHTS!

Hello again, wonderful listeners. It's time for another episode of Just One of the Guys. Isn't that exciting? Well, maybe intriguing might be a better description as we start to find out just what is going on with Kyle, his supposed marriage, the new Green Lantern Corps, as well as the Corps of villains led by Effigy. Strangeness abounds.

Strangeness also abounds in our second book, Green Lantern: Secret Files and Origins #2. Not because Kyle's experiencing any bizarre coupling experiences or brand new co-workers, but because the digital copy of the book I have isn't complete, leaving out two short stories dealing with Green Lantern and The Flash, penned by Mark Waid. Plus, the scan is so poorly done, it's nearly impossible to give creator credit to some of the people who did the Who's Who type entries. I guess that'll teach me not to be obsessive with my collecting habits. Regardless of the missing material, I hope you'll downlaod the show and take a listen.

It's another multi-part epic! Yay. Largely due to the incompetence that has signified this show since its inception, Andrew & Micheal go all free form for the first of 3 episodes looking at the DC Mini Epic 7 SOLDIERS OF VICTORY! Except they read it in the trade which prints it in release order, not story order. You think you're confused?

In this latest ball-slamming episode, Magnus continues the Smallville season 01 retrospective series, tackling episode 14- Zero through episode 17- Reaper. A *MAJOR* Smallville trope gets introduced in this batch of episodes, an old villain returns (briefly) and there are two incredibly annoying guest stars.

Also, we once again dip into listener feedback. Grateful subjects of His Excellency Magnus express their loyalty and try to understand just what makes their leader so amazing. But there are no words to explain something like that, of course.

Its Assistant Editor’s Month for Star trek Monthly Monday, so Andy Leyland, Paul Spataro, and Shawn Engel are doing the one thing that Scott63 Gardner can’t bring himself to do; cover Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. And not only are we covering Deep Space Nine, but we’re covering one of the best episodes of the show, the season four opener, “The Way of the Warrior”. The Dominion infiltration into the Alpha Quadrant has raised the concerns of the Klingon Empire, and only one man can help stop the Federation from going to war with one of their allies; Lt. Commander Worf! This episode has got it all…from great action scenes to incredible character development to Terry Ferrell and Nana Visitor in bikinis. What more could you ask for?Well, you could ask for a good DS9 comic to go with it. But you might not get it with issue 14 of the Deep Space Nine comic from Marvel. This one has members of the DS9 crew sitting around at Quark’s having a little B.S. session, telling tall tales about why the Klingons hate Tribbles so much. Plus, it has the most unfortunate image of Worf ever put to the four color medium. Two words…Cheese Chimichanga. So we hope the Freaks had a good month off as we had a blast doing these episodes. Engage!!!

Hello everyone, and welcome to a special Assistant Editors Month version of Star Trek Monthly Monday. The Freaks are on Holiday on Riza ogling some Orion slave girls, so Producer Paul Spataro, Andrew Leyland, and Shawn Engel are here to cover in their stead. And what do they bring to the show, but an episode of Star Trek Enterprise (or just Enterprise as it was called when it originally aired), “Regeneration”! The Borg are back, for the first time, unless you consider when the TNG crew encountered them, but it’s all timey-wimey stuff that can be overlooked. Plus there’s a real John Carpenter’s The Thing vibe from the beginning of the show as some Federation scientists in an Arctic outpost make some REALLY stupid choices. Plus, we discuss how much we love the theme song (which is not really at all). So make sure you keep your dosage of omichron radiation at the ready in case of sudden assimilation outbreaks. We hope you enjoy!
