Bingestorm has messed with the Weekly Heroics timeline once again and broken our ONE RULE about not covering movies in a Giant Sized Special Issue this week. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was just too fun a flick for Chris and Scott to pass up talking about so theyve pushed their Agents of SHIELD coverage to next week (Sorry Mike Zummo) in order to bring you this music filled nerdgasm over the cosmic wing of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We are Groot and you can be too! So tune in and come ride the Pork Chop Express of the spaceways with us as we explore some unspoken things like how we forgot to mention that Howard the Duck had a cameo in this movie. Bingestorm say: Im Mary Poppins yall!

They were cool, they were hip, they were the "in" thing, and they lasted all of three months. They were fads.

Slap on a bracelet, flip a water bottle, hug your Beanie Babies tight and join me as I take a look at seven huge youth-driven fads (with some old people getting into it) from the mid-1980s until today. I examine the background behind each, some of its effects, why they were often banned from schools, and how they died out.

In this week's ball-conscripting episode, Magnus finds himself in a bit of a Star Trek mood.

And Ro Laren is kind of hot in that bad girl type of way.

So why not shoot the bull about the Next Gen episode Ensign Ro? What worked about this show? What was kind of a fail?

Wouldn't answering those questions here defeat the purpose of listening to this episode?

Still, this Next Gen episode is significant for adding some much-need dissent in the ranks. Seriously, how many Next Gen episodes feature a guest star that literally everybody on the Enterprise openly hates? Very few.

But Ensign Ro is one of them.

Due to the blitzkrieg of badassitude this week, unfortunately there's just no time for listener feedback this week. But don't cry about it, some is coming in the future!

So dry your eyes! Use the time wisely! This would be an opportune time to send in any feedback you may have as the vault could get totally cleared out of feedback in the relatively near future. So get to writing!

In the meantime, though, don't let the lack of feedback this time get you down! You can still offer your feeble effort at tribute! You humble serfs are always welcome to kiss your benevolent leader's ring. Corrupt DiManzocorp interns are ready, willing, able and eager to accept your bribe to present your meager missives to your wise emperor. The email address to use is trentusmagnus@gmail.com as the other seems to be having technical problems.

In an another sublime act of truly unprecedented charity, your emperor permits you lowly rabble to suggest topics for a future episode. Thus, petitions may be sent to trentusmagnus@gmail.com for DiManzocorp interns to review, whereupon your leader might consider thinking about the possibility of potentially discussing whatever you have in mind some day. And that's a promise!

In episode 65 of The Man of Screen podcast, Mike Zummo is on his own as he covers two episodes of Season 6 of The Adventures of Superman.

First were going to meet, Mr. Pebble. He showed up with a proposition. To donate a piece of land to a camp for children. Even better, its set for life as its on top of a silver mine, and everyones happy.

No one may be happier than two crooks, one of which who looks eerily like Mr. Pebble. They want the mine, but where is it.

You can be sure, questions will be asked, mustaches will be pulled and a man will be yanked up a hill by the plate in his head as we search for “The Superman Silver Mine”.

And then, Professor Pepperwinkle comes to town with his new invention, but Ill bet he doesnt remember having invented it. Jimmy and Lois want a raise as its long overdue so they have to get the story without Supermans help to get it.

What did Pepperwinkle invent? Memory vapor. Jimmy tries to spray crooks and misses.

What secret will be revealed and why is Inspector Henderson putting himself to sleep while counting over 700.

Do you remember or have you suffered “The Big Forget”?

Next time: Bob Fisher will return to the show for a look at the next adventure with Prof. Pepperwinkle as he creates a companion in “The Gentle Monster” and then you are all invited to stare at “Supermans Wife”.

In episode 10 of The Man of Screen Extra, Mike brings back his bonus show after a five-month hiatus with an episode that listeners heard about months ago and can finally listen to with their own two ears.

Even better, as promised, Mike has delivered this episode before CBS All-Access has delivered “Star Trek: Discovery”.

In a shorter episode than you may be used to, Mike covers the 1949 movie serial, “Batman and Robin”, produced by Sam Katzman, who also produced the two Kirk Alyn movie serials. Find out what Mike thinks of this 15-chapter adventure.

Follow along the adventure as Batman battles the Wizard, thugs, and an oversized costume? And why doesnt the batsuit fit? And does Bruce

Wayne know Batman is driving his car?

Youll just have to tune in to find out.

Then, when thats done, Mike will talk about what he hopes is on tap for the rest of the year with “Man of Screen Extra”.

Next time: Superman is returning to Supergirl. There are plans for there to be discussion.

Check the Facebook group or Twitter for more details.

I'm back to a single issue and rambling on with an onion on my belt. This time around, I look at the conclusion to the two-part Scraplets story from Transformers in issue #30 of the series. Plus, I wax nostalgic about my VHS copy of the 1986 John Hughes classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
