Paul is joined this time out by W. Blaine Dowler. When asked what he wanted to cover, Blaine went way way back to a silent movie: The General. It's considered an all-time classic and is on many top film lists....but Is It Jaws? Has it held up to the test of time and can it be entertaining to a modern audience? Listen in and find out.

My name is Scott. My world is video games and podcasting. Chris Tyler joins half of the No Consoles team for an impromptu review of the 2015 Mad Max video game. Scott and Chris were browsing their favorite download services and were forced at gunpoint by a guy named Scrotus to give into their Max and game addictions when this game was discounted for a winter sale. Chris and Scott give a comprehensive review of gameplay, story content and graphics of this open world offering from WB games. Comprehensive except that we both completely forgot to talk about the soundtrack which, by the way, is also awesome. Sorry about that. You'll get to hear some of it on the podcast so judge for yourself. Bonus chat about the movies that inspired this fine piece of virtual play. So fire up your Magnum Opus, get yourself a mine sniffing canine friend and join us in the Pockyclypse for some hard driving, punching and scavenging. What a game! What a lovely game!!!

Paul, Andrew and Dr. Bill are taking time from their busy days to stop and Listen to the Prophets. What are they saying? They're saying that this is a sub-par episode of Deep Space Nine, but an entertaining episode of LTTP just the same. At least we hope you'll think so. So join as as we bid a not so fond farewell to the oh so boring Vedek Bareil. See ya!!!

The season one Supergirl recaps continue this week with Chris and Scott covering episodes nine and ten. First, it's more Kryptonian fun as the DEO faces of against Non and Astra's forces. Hank gets captured and Kara is desperately trying to get Cat to stop thinking that she's Supergirl (even though she's totally Supergirl). Next, we get a break from Kara's angry kin to delve into Winn's daddy issues as The Toyman comes for some overdue family bonding with his son. Also, lots of James and Lucy soapy stuff and poor Winn is officially friendzoned forever. Bonus Maxwell Lord stuff as Hank/Jonn proves that as the leader of a covert government agency, he actually kind of sucks at one on one espionage work. Don't forget to put away your toys when you're done playing with them kids, and always remember to deactivate the explosive ones! Only two more weeks of Supergirl recaps after this one, so get them while the heat vision is hot!

For the past 75 years, she's been a hero and role model, and this summer she is getting her own feature film. I'm talking, of course, about Wonder Woman. To honor the mighty Amazon, I'm taking a look at two series entitled The Legend of Wonder Woman. The first, from 1986, is by Kurt Busiek and Trina Robbins and takes place right after Crisis on Infinite Earths, closing the door on the pre-Crisis incarnation of Diana while opening the door for the landmark George Perez run. The second, from 2016, is by Renae De Liz and Ray Dillon, and is an all-ages, out-of-continuity retelling of WW's origin story.

Please dont forget to leave feedback at the Pop Culture Affidavit Facebook page and check out Pop Culture Affidavit for the show notes.

"You're nothing but a cheap fairground trickster!"

On this episode of Bots, Bugs, and Babes, my father (Al Jaconetti) and I go back across the pond and back to 1957 to look at The Abominable Snowman [aka: The Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas]. We will cover many different aspects of the film and its production. We will also talk about why this is a mostly lost classic and why "There is no Yeti."
