The Defenders are streaming on Netflix. It might not be the Defenders lineup that Paul fondly remembers, but it brings back memories for Scott of an old Marvel Team-Up Annual. Oh....and Bill is there too. Listen in and you can S.C.O.R.E. too!

Its the season two episode nine recap and things are going “weapons hot” on the Preachercast. Brian and Pat join Scott as The Grail readies its assault on our intrepid heroes. How has Cassidy dealt with the Denis situation? Will Tulip ever sleep again? Is Jesse using The Word too much? What was Herr Starr going to have her do with that butter? Jesse looks to some unconventional methods to find God, Herr Starr gets himself a “Professional” date and Featherstone and Hoover nearly get “The Tarp”. Bonus talk about Scotts unhealthy obsession about Susan Sarandon and Helen Mirren. Only four episodes left in the season and next week is a doozy, so get ready to find your missing puzzle piece on this weeks Weekly Heroics!

Andrew suddenly got an urge to read THE INCREDIBLE HULK 1-6 from 1962 and have a look and why this character didn't originally find an audience. Along the way there are ponderings on why no-one cared that Banner had blonde hair, politics in super heroes and the uselessness of Rick Jones. Fun for all.

In this week's ball-"advanturing" episode, the spotlight swivels back to Astro City. What is that makes Astro City so awesome? Well, the fact that it's awesome helps.

And this week is the start of something special (and awesome!) (and an "advanture"!) because Uncle Magnus begins analyzing, picking apart and pondering Astro City #02. Which should be enough all by itself but added to that is the fact that this is the beginning of the very first multi-part Astro City story!

What an "advanture"! How awesome!

So what's the life of a kid like when she's raised inside the superhero community and frequently has to duke it out with supervillains before dinnertime?

What effect does that have on her social life?

And how exactly does one play hopscotch anyway?

All these questions plus many, many more are answered in this awesome "advanturous" episode!

Did Stan Lee use this many exclamation points back in the old days?

No!

So what are you waiting for? Start listening right now! Otherwise your children will never learn how to play hopscotch.

Also this week, His Excellency Magnus re-announces again an upcoming brand new megaseries coming soon to a podcast receiver near you in the not-too-distant future very soon in a short time! It won't be long now!

Due to the avalanche of awesomeness, there's just no time for listener feedback this week. But there's some time for some brand-spanking new feed-forward! Yes indeedy, the show about Astro City #01 resulted in feedback which His Excellency decided could only be handled in this episode (which is about Astro City #02, get the picture?).

No time for feedback though.

Anyway. But Magnus has slowly been getting caught up lately. There's been some feedback recently so don't be left out! You too can offer your feeble effort at tribute whenever you want! Yes indeed, you humble serfs are always welcome to kiss your benevolent leader's ring. Corrupt DiManzocorp interns are ready, willing, able and eager to accept your bribe to present your meager missives to your wise emperor. The email address to use is trentusmagnus@gmail.com as the other seems to be having technical problems.

In an another sublime act of truly ball-shriveling magnanimity, your emperor permits you lowly rabble to suggest topics for a future episode. Thus, requests may be sent to trentusmagnus@gmail.com for the aforementioned corrupt DiManzocorp interns (who probably lack souls) to review, whereupon your leader might consider thinking about the possibility of potentially discussing whatever you have in mind some day. And that's a promise!

Dont forget to travel back in time to learn that money truly CANNOT buy happiness as the most miserable man in Smallville happens to be the richest. Can you believe this guy went through his life without laughing at all?

You wouldnt believe what makes him laugh, but you wouldnt believe what was built right next to Smallville. If you dont already know, youll have to listen to find out.

Next time: Mike will cover the next four Superman episodes, “The Magnetic Monster”, “The Toys of Doom”, “Iron Eater” and “The Ape Army of the Amazon” and the next two Superboy episodes, “The Visitor from the Earths Core” and “The Beast That Went Bezerk”.

Fear the Walking Deadcast is back and Scott, Brian and Beth are covering episodes 9 and 10 in the back half of season three. The Nation, led by Walker and the Ranch, led by Jake have reached an uneasy piece, but Troy might not be on board with some of the new policies. Hilarity and gunfire ensue. Meanwhile Daniel is becoming chief adviser to Lola at the dam that was “liberated” from Dante earlier in the season. Then tensions rise on the ranch as cohabitation isnt as easy as you would think. Especially with a water shortage looming. Maddy and Walker go shopping. Nick takes on an unwanted leadership role, Alicia is making all the right decisions (at least someone is) and Victor literally drops back in the picture. Dont forget kids, never let Madison make decisions or let her near your gold. Bonus this episode: Brian and Scott sing! Sort of. Your Fear the Walking Deadcast is back!
